Hortensia Nachelli Malpica López
CH - 4056 Basel
Nachelli studied Chemistry at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and earned a Master Degree in Chemical Sciences while working at the Institute of Biomedical Research of the same university.
She is enrolled as a PhD student since 2011, and already since 2006, she worked as a lab assistant for the Molecular Plant Virology group lead by PD Dr. M. Pooggin who is now her PhD supervisor.
She is interested in studying innate immunity and RNA silencing in plants in the presence of viral infections.
