Teaching - Lecturer for dendroecology, University of Basel.
Photography - My digital, key word-aided photo archive currently contains roughly 100,000 images. Major topics are ecosystems, forests, trees, mountains, deserts, plants, animals, global change and traditional human settlements (see examples).

Nonprofit Activities

• Active member of Amnesty International (urgent actions).
• President of the Stiftung Sagi Oltingen, a foundation that takes care of an almost 200-year-old water-powered sawmill (waterwheel).
